Perfect partner for the DiVA DV135 / DV137 DVD players
Incorporating a host of audiophile quality components and design techniques, the DiVA AVR280 is perfect for a combined movie and music system. Its feature list is perfect for mid-size cinema systems, even incorporating the latest HDMI switching for DVD players, set-top boxes or gaming systems.
Movie lovers will be thrilled at the dynamic power and sound-staging the AVR280 delivers, while music enthusiasts will be enraptured by its passionate performance. Drawing heavily on the company’s FMJ AV9, DiVA AVR300 and DiVA AVR350 designs, the AVR280 excels in both performance and connectivity. More than ten years of AV design experience has gone into the AVR280. A good example of this is Arcam’s refusal to rely on audio delivery over HDMI. Arcam were one of the first companies to realize the massive sound quality compromise that this form of audio connection currently represents. While video over HDMI can be simply stunning, Arcam currently favour the higher performance Coax or Optical SPDIF connection.
For control in larger systems, a full suite of Infra Red (IR) and RS232 control options make the AVR280 a perfect solution for high performance custom applications. Its power amplifier section is designed to deliver clean music power to a wide range of loudspeaker systems from sub/sats to full-blown floor-standing models or in-walls.
While main output video switching features both HD compatible circuitry and up-conversion the independent Zone 2 output allows a second room to be fed with both simple audio and video. Featuring independent switching and volume control, the second room or “Zone” can be controlled via its own IR input with source components being passed on by the AVR280’s IR output.
The AVR280 is designed in the UK and was manufcatured in black and silver
