Arcam’s rDock was designed to be the definitive iPod dock when it came to audio quality and it’s thousands of owners can al offer proof that it succeeded in that goal. It’s one of the few iPod docks in production to offer properly buffered outputs, let alone sophisticated control options from the company’s Solo range of all-in-one music and movie systems.
However, it now seems that the rDock has found a new roll in life, as the definitive testing station for iPod sound quality. CNET’s Nate Lanxon chose a pair of rDocks while doing back to back sound quality testing for the latest generation iPods.
While debate rages on as to which generation of iPod offers the best sound quality, it seems there is little doubt that the rDock is the dock of choice of great sound is what you’re looking for.
