Arcam has enjoyed strong links with it's home town of Cambridge since its inception in the mid 1970's. More specifically, the company has a number of connections to the city's famous University where the companies founders were studying when ARCAM was born.
As part of this relationship Arcam is proud to have been the primary sponsor of CUSO, the Cambridge University Symphony Orchestra since 1992. With the "pick of the crop" of the University's music scholars, CUSO has become a widely respected ensemble and their recent concert at Cambridge's West Road concert hall on 27th February was a fine example of the orchestra's musicianship.
Under the baton of regular conductors Mark Biggins and Julian Black the orchestra performed Beethoven's Egmont Overture, the Sibelius Violin Concerto featuring soloist Catherine Myerscough and finally "Scheherazade" by Rimsky-Korsakov.
The concert is to be repeated March 6th at 7.30pm at St John's in Smith Square, London. Tickets can be purchased by telephoning 020 7222 1061.
